For 36 Years, This Taqueria Has Become A Post-Hike Staple

Having visited Banff four times in my life, there is one spot that I always am sure to visit, and that is Magpie & Stump. This popular, modern taqueria has been a long-standing favourite for over three and a half decades. With a menu that features traditional North and Latin American bar food and cocktails, such as authentic tacos and enchiladas, I have always found myself re-energized and ready to return to hiking and strolling in the town.

The wonderful part about visiting Magpie & Stump is that almost everything on the menu can be shared with your loved ones, even an entrée can be passed around. The seating that this restaurant has to offer spans between two floors, the indoor dining area and sidewalk seating on the ground floor, as well as the second floor rooftop patio. Of course, you’re better off keeping your cocktail, anyone would most certainly prefer to enjoy a full glass of their own personal sangria.
