Restaurants in The Big Easy pride themselves on their eclectic approach to traditional southern food. The beignets are iconic, the seafood boils will most certainly leave your fingers and clothes stained, the fried foods will put you straight to bed and the cocktails will have you tapping your toes to the beat in the iconic French Quarter. Most everything South can be found in NOLA, especially a great deal of foods that feature one of the most used proteins in Louisiana: pork.
That’s where Cochon comes in to play. Found in the heart of the downtown core, pigs are truly made to fly in pork-specific recipes. After finishing the night off with a light spiced cake with a delectable ice cream on top, we found ourselves entirely satisfied with our choices, ensuring that we were saying “wee wee wee” all the way home.
